Lance Klusener, a former Proteas hitter, is the head coach of the Durban Super Giants. Fans can anticipate lots of excitement from the Durban-based team because Klusener was known for his passionate batting style.
Quinton de Kock offers a wealth of experience and will be essential to his team’s chances of winning the SA20. Klusener and co. have an exciting combination of elite local and foreign quality.
De Kock has participated in almost 280 T20 matches and has amassed 8373 runs, including a top score of 140* and a strike rate of 137.26. In May 2022, for the Lucknow Super Giants, De Kock hammered an unbeaten 140 off 70 balls, which ranks third in IPL history for an individual score.
Keshav Maharaj is a brand-new member of the Super Giants Squad in Durban. Maharaj’s T20 statistics show that he will be crucial for his squad in the SA20. He will try to cause damage with the ball.
The left-arm spinner for the Proteas has played in over 120 T20 matches and has claimed over 100 wickets with a strike rate of 25.4. Johnson Charles of the West Indies will give the Super Giants of Durban a Caribbean flair, and the wicket-keeper batsman has the ability to ignite the competition and create pyrotechnics.
Charles is a strong player with the power to clear the boundary. He also has a winning attitude after helping the West Indies win the T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016. With a top score of 105* and a strike rate of 128.28, the power batter has played in more than 200 T20 matches and amassed over 5000 runs.
The first SA20 league is scheduled to start on January 10, 2023, and tickets for this cricket extravaganza will go on sale on November 14th. On January 11, 2023, at Kingsmead in Durban, the Durban Super Giants open their SA20 season against the Faf du Plessis Joburg Super Kings.
