Player of the Match: Dewald Brevis (MI Cape Town)
Rashid Khan (MI Cape Town Captain) I’m really glad I won to start the new competition. The manner Jofra and Sam bowled demonstrated a great effort from the boys. Right now, we must maintain our momentum. We have one of the best bowling units, which makes my job as captain much simpler. Just about using the proper men and concentrating on doing morally. (On Jofra Archer) Incredible comeback; this is really difficult to pull off. We were glad to see him back in action and it was good to be on the field beside him rather than competing with him when we saw him during practice. Everyone in the group of guys is stepping up and eager to perform.
David Miller: (Captain of Paarl Royals) As we batted up front, the conditions were a little difficult. a little bit simpler But you can’t knock them for playing well and putting us under pressure. In a T20 match, two dropped catches are never good. We’ll put a lot of emphasis on fielding during this competition. (On Brevis’ batting)The finish was incredibly entertaining to watch. Really great skill; best of luck to him. Morgs and I were conversing about Jofra Archer when he said that it was good to see him back in international cricket. 150 strikes with ease. We have two days off until the next game, so we need to revise our strategy and get better.
