PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Marco Jansen(SEC) Naturally, I didn’t anticipate it happening the way it did, but I’m glad it did. Whether it’s a red ball or a white ball, I think spending time at the wicket can boost your confidence. (When asked if the knock at the SCG gave you confidence.) Well, it’s only one day (laughter), but he’s a world-class bowler. (On him defeating Rashid). Fortunately, today went my way. When asked if Rashid was his objective, he responded, “At that point, we had to have a plan, and we had to choose one bowler.” I basically made the decision to see what happens and try to roll with it after the first ball went for six. [On the Rabada (16.6) flat-bat shot off MarKohli] I have no idea what transpired; all I know is that I told myself to “just gaze at the ball” and if it were to appear, to “just go with it.”
“In the decisive over, Sunrisers prevailed in a thrilling match. They were on the verge of losing when Marco Jansen played a superb ball. Before being dismissed in the last over, he batted like a man possessed to bring his team dangerously near. Given that Markram and Stubbs scored nothing for the Sunrisers, Cape Town had put up a respectable total and appeared to be defending it. But the Cape Town unit was destroyed by the Jansen storm that moved in. They had defeated the Cape Town squad a few days prior, and they did it again, though this time the game was very tight. Change tabs, then move on to the following game”.
