Player of the Match: Bjorn Fortuin(PR) [A new ball is thrown] It provides wicket-taking opportunities, so make the most of it. It was great to perform in front of [my] home crowd. It is my responsibility to limit whoever is in front of me. As a bowler, there are challenges, but try to take advantage of the conditions.

“The Paarl Royals win by ten runs. Heinrich Klaasen’s unbeaten 56 off 39 balls is rendered ineffective. I just ran out of gas near the end, and I didn’t have much help either, with wickets tumbling. Bjorn Fortuin bowled a brilliant spell in the powerplay, picking up three wickets for 13 runs in four overs. He was outstanding with the ball in the first half, and Evan Jones followed suit in the second, using his variations to get a four-for. Most batters struggled with the two-paced pitch, and Klaasen was left with far too much to do”.
