Presentation:
Player of the Match: Aaron Phangiso(JSK) It takes effort. I was given the chance to take part in a competition like this. Exercise, exercise, exercise, and experience. I make an effort to stay on topic and maintain a suitable length. The wicket was really active. I maintained my course. It was difficult, but with the help I had, I managed to get through it. Actually, this is for my loved ones and friends. Delivered the circumstances, this is the best performance I have ever given.
Aiden Markram(Sunrisers Eastern Cape): In the end, it was quite close. For us, maybe 20 additional runs would have been great. It took a lot of character to fight all the way to the final over. Very pleased with the fight we displayed. As we lost wickets, it was initially difficult to figure it out. We struggled to reach 120-odd when we had hoped to be between 140 and 150. We thought there was a lot of variation. Building pressure and picking off targets were the goals. Very good bowling. We can put this behind us and begin again tomorrow. We’ll give it our best shot.
Faf du Plessis(JSK): pretty anxious Getting a close game like that is crucial. The lads will be very confident when it comes to their batting. We bowled incredibly well; we were outstanding. Our fielding was first-rate. I should have gone back and double-checked that I took it home. We were taken aback. It was low and slow, with just a hint of grip in both innings. We are acting appropriately as a bowling unit. For our batting order, today marks a significant improvement.
“It was a really close call. The Sunrisers put in a determined bowling performance. Eastern Cape struggled with the ball after being forced out for a subpar score of 127. As usual, during the powerplay, Sisanda Magala made the first run, but the Joburg Super Kings had a strong powerplay as they scored 47 runs and down the asking rate to below 6 RPO. Visitors should have been able to enjoy a leisurely stroll across the park, but SEC hit the brakes while spinning. The three spinners bowled quite well, and Joburg Super King came under tremendous pressure. The hot batsman Leus du Plooy hit a few boundaries in the 18th over. But the never-say-die van der Merwe bowled a magnificent penultimate over, allowing only five runs. Magala delivered three yorkers in the penultimate over to keep the score close as eight runs were needed. Leus du Plooy scored a boundary as a result of anticlimactic Magala’s overstep to help his team win with one ball remaining.”.
