Presentation:

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Aiden Markram(SEC) It feels great. We made things a little difficult for ourselves in the end. I wanted to be there at the end and finish the job; I had a lot to learn and take away from this game. Stubbs deserves credit for getting us to the finish line. In the end, I was a little nervous, but very pleased. In this tournament, the margin for error is quite small, and I thought 160 was a par score. More of the same, with a focus on areas where we can improve.

Rashid Khan(MI Cape Town): It was a close game, with us falling 15-20 points short. But we fought well, and it was an overall good performance, particularly the way we fought back with the ball. We have a few things to think about before the next game, and we will come back strong. Focus on what’s coming next and everyone knows their role on the side next game we have a home game and we will give our hundred percent.

Sunrisers desperately needed a win after two consecutive defeats, and they got it against the table-toppers with three balls to spare. They lost the first three overs for little money and then had a near-100-run game-changing stand between Erwee and Markram. Three quick wickets after that partnership, however, helped MI claw their way back into this game, but the finisher, Tristan Stubbs, was more than adequate to put his side on the verge of victory. Despite being out on the first ball of the final over, Fuller smashed two consecutive boundaries to give the home team a much-needed victory”.
